Silly Dogs

Not too much in the way of updates. They're getting big and loud and silly.

Sorry everybody!

I apologize for a lack of activity. I have been busy preparing for school and packing. Anywho, everybody is so big! They're all around 3 pounds now. Their eyes are open and they can definitely hear now too. They run around, bite and jump on each other, scratch themselves, bark, and run over when they see you. We moved them into a blue inflatable pool to make it easier on Izzy. They were trying to get out of the whelping pen (not that they don't try to get out of the pool, because they certainly try). They get cuter every day. We are probably going to start them on solid foods tomorrow, because they are going through formula like crazy and Izzy seems very reluctant to feed them. This seems to indicate that she is trying to wean them.

It's crazy how, in a matter of days, they went from helpless little rat-like (but cute) things to real dogs! They act like puppies now. Very floppy.

Day 9

The puppies get louder every day, interrupting conversations and making their presence known. They are especially loud when they are trying to walk around. No one has been successful yet, but they are all trying. This involves shakily raising themselves up on their front legs and pushing with their back legs, which thrusts them forward and causes them to faceplant. Check out the videos!

Day 6

I've been lazy and haven't updated, sorry everybody! Everyone is doing well. Several of the puppies now weigh 1 pound, and the rest are quickly catching up. We're bottle-feeding them three times a day to give Isabelle a break. They all seem to like the formula, so it's a good system. Izzy was a bit anxiety-ridden for the first few days, but she has relaxed a lot. Today she played frisbee with dad and was in and out of the room all day. Quiexo (the dad) got to see his babies for the first time today, albeit from a distance. Hopefully in a few weeks he'll be able to play with them.

Day 3

No pictures or videos today. A little too tired from bottle-feeding. They are already showing visible growth, which is pretty wild. They're also getting hair growing on their ears and you can see that their coats are getting longer. It's amazing how fast it all happens. I promise to put up new pictures and videos either tomorrow or this weekend, so keep checking!

Day 2

All are healthy but tired. Everybody seems to be nursing fine and Izzy got some sleep. Here are some videos!
